Mira Bhayandar : Developer booked for allegedly forging signatures of land owners to obtain Rera Certificate.

Mira Bhayandar: A Bhayandar based developer has been booked for allegedly submitting a notary affidavit before Rera Authority by forging signatures of the land owners. Following a complaint from one of the land owner, a case has been registered at the concerned police station under the jurisdiction of Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar Police Commissionerate.



The complainant along with 35 other members formed a registered company named East Indian Heritage Developers Private Limited in the year 2007-08. Around 175 guntha land is owned by the East Indian Heritage Developers Pvt Ltd Company at Uttan near Gorai. In the year 2018, the Board of Directors of the company along with the complainant decided to develop the said land. Accordingly, a registered development agreement was signed between the G.J. Infra Company (Developer) and East Indian Heritage Developers Pvt Ltd Co (Land Owners) on 12th June 2018.

As per information received from sources, a total of 57 villas are proposed to be constructed on said land. Some portion of the land falls under CRZ, while some part of the land is also tagged with a Reservation. Accordingly, necessary permissions to construct around 12 to 15 villas was granted by Mbmc in the year 2019 for the portion of land which does not fall under CRZ.

The land owners alleged that the developer has submitted the notary affidavit as a developer as per form-B filed in the RERA authority by the names of three directors with their forged signatures and obtained RERA certificate dated 05/04/2021. During September 2023, they received information regarding the same and accordingly had sent a legal notice to the developer regarding the cancellation of the development agreement. Also they have written a complaint to the RERA authority to cancel the certificate obtained with their forged signatures.

While on the other hand, the developer has totally refuted the allegations levelled up against him. As per the developer the development agreement is not cancelled yet. Sources said that their is a dispute between the members of the East Indian Heritage Developers Pvt Ltd Company itself. The members of the EIHD co. is divided in two groups. One is in favour of the Developer and the other one is opposing, sources said.
