Bhayandar Police Delaying FIR since 07 months

A written complaint submitted by a Municipal Corporation officer in January 2024 to the Bhayander Police Station regarding fraudulent activities by contractor Shine Maintenance Services Pvt Ltd remains unattended. Despite the lapse of seven months, the concerned authorities have failed to register a case against the accused contractor.

The complaint alleged that the contractor had submitted bogus documents to secure bill approval from the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation. The officer's written complaint was a formal request to initiate legal action against the contractor. However, the inaction of the concerned officer has raised concerns about the lack of urgency in addressing this matter.

A dispute between the police and municipal officials has further complicated the issue. Police officials claim that they have requested all relevant documents from the municipal officials but have not received them, while municipal officials assert that they have submitted all required documents to the police station. This inter-departmental blame game is hindering the progress of the case, ultimately allowing the contractor to evade legal action.

The lack of cooperation and communication between the departments is impeding the investigation and enabling the contractor to avoid accountability. It is essential that both departments collaborate and share the necessary documents to facilitate a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible for fraudulent activities are held accountable.
